The First Green is Gold...

The First Green is Gold ... and it's also the easiest way to make a big arrangement for Spring. Just take a pair of snips and judiciously trim any of your trees or bushes that are just budding out. Stick them in an appropriate vase with water and watch them come to life transitioning from tiny golden leaves to their more mature green!

twigs2Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower.
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
