My cat Neil has always hated going to the vet. You'd think he was being sent on a forced death march. So now that he is elderly, I decided to give him a break and work with a vet who makes house calls. Dr. Hannah Ekstrom and her assistant arrived this morning within a fifteen minute window of our scheduled time. I felt that her fees were comparable to my regular vetrinarian.
She did a complete exam, clipped his nails, showed me how to administer fluid under his skin, and had a great bedside manner - all in 45 minutes! We found her to be efficient, compassionate, and thorough. It saved me three hours of traveling with a hysterical cat, and probably added another year to Neil's life.
